For Parents

We value parental support and commitment within the school community, whether it is helping out in the canteen or participating in P&F meetings. There are many opportunities for you to involved in your child's school life.

Compass

At St Bernard’s we have adopted a new digital technology platform for parents to access school information. The COMPASS Parent Portal is an online portal that lets you access information about your child’s school and their progress. The portal is accessible via the web and the COMPASS School Manager App (via the App store on your device). To access COMPASS via the web page please type in the following address https://schools.compass.education/ . Then search for St Bernard’s by typing in BATEMANS BAY. Instructions about the COMPASS APP and the webpage are attached.

Canteen

Our school canteen is an integral part of our school. It is open between 9.00 am -1.15 pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

It provides a service to our students by:

  • Supplying a range of food at affordable prices.
  • Providing an educational environment for learning cooperation, courtesy and money management.
  • Being self funded and, where possible, producing a profit which can then be used to improve the facilities.
  • Providing an opportunity for parents/grandparents to be involved in the school.

Have you downloaded the QKR! App?

QKR! by Mastercard is an easy-to-use phone app that has been introduced to all families this term. It gives you the flexibility to make hassle-free canteen orders and school fee payments at a time and place that suits you.

Parent Helpers

All parent helpers must complete a Child Protection for Volunteers Check. If you are interested in helping in the classroom, canteen, gross motor or school excursions, you will need to have completed this prior to starting.
